This position supports all UNC locations.
Hours: Full-time hours Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm with availability to participate in weekly team On-Call rotation.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, this position performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures for all UNC facilities.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and repair experience:
Basic electrical fixtures and circuits including low voltage electronic, 120/240V
Windows/doors
Lock and entryway experience.
Flooring/carpet basic installation
Household plumbing systems and fixtures
HVAC systems-heat pumps, air handlers, gas burners, boilers and associated equipment
Experience in painting, prep, best practices and techniques
Available to participate in On-Call rotation
Ability to participate in snow removal-use of blowers/plows/shovels/salt carts
Experience in grounds keeping-use of trimmers/mowers
Ability to lift 50lbs
All duties as assigned
Education/Experience/Licensure
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum 2 years experience with advanced maintenance repairs and knowledge of technical discipline is required.
Valid driver’s license is required.
