We have an excellent opportunity for an EH&S Manager at our Mountaintop, PA manufacturing location.
In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
* Develop and implement safety and health policies, practices and procedures in compliance with governmental regulations including Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations including, but not limited to, OSHA/EPA
* Manage and develop EH&S support members
* Manage the implementation and effective application of safe practices, including the utilization of safety equipment and devices in a manufacturing environment
* Lead, manage, and maintain infrastructure systems such as SMS, SDS electronic system, Safety Overservation Program, Management of Change, and Crown Infolink PIT system.
* Conduct meetings, design and develop manuals, conduct training, evaluate risk to keep Supervisors, Managers, and employees apprised of hazardous conditions and practices.
* Work with all levels of team members to develop plans and lead the change to reduce risk and prevent incidents by implementing preventative measures.
* Spend majority of time on the production floor building relationships and providing guidance and direction.
* Develop and coordinate internal and external emergency services for injured or ill employees.
* Maintain and provide the management team with statistical summaries and trends.
* Maintain files and record systems relating to safety functions and prepare periodic reports and summaries to keep Management informed.
Maintain OSHA and other mandated government files to provide proof of compliance and maintenance of minimum standards.
* Provide expertise to ensure Company compliance with mandatory Federal and State regulations and insurance requirements.
* Plan and implement programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, hygiene, and correct handling techniques to reduce exposure to chemicals, equipment and other materials.
* Perform required inspections of the facility to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows-up to ensure measures have been implemented.
Grade each department and post a notice in the department of the criteria, the grade and reason for the grade.
* Leads the investigation of incidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits and insurance investigations.
* Ensures mandatory monthly/annual training and/or testing is completed and proper records kept, for the facility, including Hazard Communication, PIT’s, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, First-Aid, Hearing Conservation, etc.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
* A minimum of 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
* A strong working knowledge of safety requirements and OSHA related laws.
* Demonstrated judgment and decision making, as well as the capability to take projects from the conceptual stage to completion.
