a manufacturing company located in Berwick, PA is seeking a qualified Carpenter/Cabinet Maker to join our team.
We are a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of Ergonomic Interactive Technical products for various industries.
Our customers include Medical/Healthcare, Public Safety/Mission Control, All Government Agencies, IT and Financial Corporations.
*Job Description* Expanding medical equipment manufacturing company is seeking a full-time experienced Finish Carpenter or Cabinet Maker to design, fabricate and assemble wood furniture and crates.
*Requirements:* · Background in Finish Carpentry/Cabinet Making/Commercial and Residential Mill-work · Proficient with all shop equipment and practices: table saws, panel saws, routers, power tools, hand tools · Experience in laminate fabrication countertops, table tops, shelving · Strong knowledge of calculations and measurements · Ability to multitask, work under pressure and complete jobs with demanding deadlines while keeping great attention to detail · Highly motivated and high level of initiative; confidence to work independently and with a team, in support of project goals and objectives · High energy level required with the ability to stand for long periods of time · Communicate with other departments clearly about project status when elements are completed/passed into the next department · May perform other duties in other departments as assigned by management *Required Professional Skills:* · Minimum 5-10 years working in a carpentry setting · Strong record of reliable attendance and punctuality · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment · Works well in a team environment to achieve a common goal · Excellent problem-solving skills with extreme attention to detail · Must be a good communicator · Resourceful go-getter attitude with desire for career advancement and increased responsibility · Adheres to company safety guidelines *Qualifications* · Minimum – high school diploma or GED · Vocational training in Advanced Industrial Electrical · Four + years related experience in manufacturing environment _*Physical Requirements:*_ * Must be able to see color.
* Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
