Family Of Four Need Housing Asap (Wilkes Barre)

Family of four need housing asap.
I'm recently a single father my kids mother left me while I was in jail for my friend and became a drug addict and neglected the kids.
I recently just took them from Florida and just came to Pennsylvania.
We were living with a friend and it's just not working out.
We really need a place to stay until my housing is ready.
I can work off rent or anything needed.
I need to get them into school asap.
I contacted child services and they said there is nothing they can do because we haven't been residents for 6 months.
Please any help is appreciated.
I never ask for help in my life but I don't know what else to do.
I do not have friends or family or I wouldn't even be posting this.
