*Job Summary*
Operates seated and standing forklift to transfer product from warehouse floor to load trucks.
Responsible for the expedient and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the warehouse facility
*Responsibilities*
● Moves Merchandise by hand or forklift equipment to maintain continuous flow of merchandise.
● Open and closes bay doors and pulls pin for dock plate.
Unloads and stocks incoming merchandise, picking of outgoing merchandise, and loading of outbound trailers when needed.
● Checks, verifies, and audits merchandise and enters data into remote data terminal to ensure that ordered merchandise has been received and that merchandise is as ordered and not damaged or defective.
● Operates a forklift, when needed, to move and put away merchandise, and replenishes pick areas identified by replenishment reports and various request for needed merchandise.
● Obtains customer orders identifying merchandise that has been requested and fills merchandise order by selecting and moving merchandise from active slot to flat.
● Reports damages and vendor compliance issues.
Resolves problems or discrepancies with help from immediate manager.
● Meets department demands without sacrificing quality.
● Uses forklift to obtain product, stages product and moves door using small hand tools including powered tools to meet the specific customer request.
● Cleans area by picking up packaging and cardboard material.
Operates cardboard baler.
● Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
● Regular and reliable attendance at your assigned location.
Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
● Stand-up and Seated Forklift, Clamp Forklift, Tugger, Scan gun, Shrink wrap, Box cutter, Baler, VRC computer, 2-way radio.
Non-Essential Functions
● Assists in other areas of the department as necessary.
● Assists in other departments of Costco Logistics as necessary.
Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
● Stand-up and Seated Forklift, Clamp Forklift, Tugger, Scan gun, Shrink wrap, Box cutter, Baler, VRC computer, 2-way radio.
*Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications Required:*
● Costco Forklift certification required.
● Hazard Communication and JHA (initial assignment), Costco Hazardous Materials DOT Training Course: Part 1 (within 30 days and then every year), Hazmat Universal Waste Training- Short Version (within 30 days and then every year).
● Must be current on annual safety training within 30 days of hire.
● High School Diploma or GED preferred.
● Forklift driving experience preferred.

● Management will review the Job Analysis for this position prior to a job offer.
*Additional Information:*
* First 90 days is a Probationary Period.
Certification and driving equipment begins after passing at least 30 days of employment.
Premium pay of additional $1.
00 applies while operating equipment.
* Saturday availability a must.
* Scheduled hours will be between the hours of 5:00 am and 1:30 pm.
* Part time hours range from 24 to 40 hours per week with all benefits eligible after 60 days of employment.
* Steel-toe shoes required at all times.
