Kennedy Creek Growers (KCG) seeks a Non-CDL Delivery Driver to join our company.
This driver will bring professionalism to our delivery team and is responsible for safe, punctual, and consistent deliveries to our customers of our live plants.
This position is essential to the success of our operation and will require reliability.
To fit in this position you must be extremely reliable, courteous, and on-time.
*Description*
This position will be driving cargo vans (Sprinter, Transits, ProMasters, etc) and/or small box trucks delivering to grocery stores, restaurants, and warehouses.
Depending on the assigned route, 1-2 *overnights at a hotel in the delivery location may be required.
*We pay for the hotel, of course.
_None of our vehicles require a CDL but commercial delivery experience is a plus, particularly grocery or produce delivery.

*Responsibilities*:
* Safely operate any fleet vehicle assigned.
* Perform and document basic safety checks before departure.
* Depart on time for scheduled deliveries to meet any delivery appointments.
In most cases, your departure time is flexible.
* Maintain a clean driving record.
* Handle the products carefully, ensuring all plants arrive in the condition they were harvested.
* Unload products efficiently and in compliance with all customer requirements.
* Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
* Communicate any anticipated absences with management well enough in advance to ensure timely deliveries (_we are a small team so all days off must be pre-scheduled; no last-minute calling off apart from emergencies_).
* Communicate any vehicle maintenance issues to management.
*Requirements*:
* Authorized to work in the United States
* English fluency
* Current, valid driver's license; CDL a plus but not required
* Clean motor vehicle record; ability to drive defensively and safely
* Ability to stay overnight in delivery locations
* Willingness to drive in urban centers (Washington DC, Philadelphia, etc)
* When necessary, ongoing compliance with all DOT safety regulations (may include: DOT medical certificate, drug screening, and employment history check)
* Ability to sit for extended periods, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs
* Good communication skills
* Demonstrated punctuality and reliability
