02, 2024 Program: Orlando / ARCH / I&C / I&C Con Description:Mechanical Design Engineer to design, analyze, and document Military and commercial hardware for various programs.
The primary focus will be on the design and analysis of packaging of electrical equipment and control, but may also include aerospace hardware.
Responsibilities will include working on a team of engineering personnel (System Engineer/Tech lead, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Test Engineering, and Design & Drafting) to conceptualize, detail design, analyze, and document specialized hardware designs.
The job may also require the design and documentation of custom test equipment.
Candidate must possess excellent communication and social skills to work on an integrated product team, write technical documents, and interact with other engineers, technicians, subcontractors, customers, and vendors.
Conduct design trade studies using simulation tools in order to evaluate system performance and provide recommendations to the design team is also a plus.
The position requires the candidate to have working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
The successful candidate may be required to work more than 40 hours a week on occasion and on short notice.
Occasional travel (10%) may be required.
Note: This position is contingent on contract award and funding which is anticipated April 2024.
Basic Qualifications: The candidate must have a BS/MS in either Mechanical engineering, Aerospace engineering or related engineering field.
Experience with 3D solid modeling.
Mechanical Design experience.
Experience or class work with mechanical analysis (structural, thermal, CFD).
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance so must be a US citizen Desired Skills: MS in Mechanical engineering or related engineering degree.
CREO Solid Modeling or training CREO Simulate Analysis NASTRAN Model Based Design/Engineering Security Clearance Statement:This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
