Summary
Set in the luxurious Adirondack-style Main Lodge of The Chatwal Lodge, Catskills, our Steward/ Dishwashers are responsible for partnering with our culinary team to provide luxury culinary experiences.
As a boutique, luxury property with 14 keys, the team at The Chatwal Lodge is a tight-knit and dynamic group and utilizes team-style service each day.
Candidates will be expected to participate in all areas of culinary.
Interested applicants enthusiastic to learn should not be deterred; training in all areas of the culinary department will be provided to the benefit of expanding your skillset and elevating the service we are able to provide our guests.
Candidates will be required to support our culinary team with kitchen cleanliness.
Duties & Functions
· Maintain kitchen cleanliness as required by state and local laws.
· Operate the dishwasher in an efficient and safe manner.
Following manufacture safety guidelines at all times.
Pre-sorting and rinsing dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils prior to placing in dishwasher.
· Storing/ drying all dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils post washing.
· Deep clean kitchen and trash removal.
· Storing all deliveries promptly upon arrival.
· Deep cleaning of all coolers/refrigerators.
· Properly cool and store all supplies to appropriate temperatures as required by state and local laws.
· Ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of food products to comply with health department regulations.
· Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
· Build positive relationships with team members and supervisors.
· Shows commitment to teamwork, knowing when to ask or offer help to and from colleagues.
· Exhibit ability to prioritize work and ensure immediate guest needs are met.
· Assists the Culinary Manager and Culinary Supervisor with tasks requested.
· Understand and follow sanitation practices as set forth by state and local laws.
· Keeps station and coolers clean and neat during shift; properly prepare line for next shift.
Pay Range: $18- $20; this is a non- tipped position.
The property is an all-inclusive resort.

Qualifications
Must have a High School Degree or Equivalent
Must have NYS Driver’s License
Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
Must be able to stand long period of time and walk long distances.
Must be able to bend, pull, push upwards of 50 lbs.
Must be willing to become First Aid & CPR Certified
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
Deliver prompt, excellent service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Maintains current knowledge of the Chatwal Lodge culture, amenities, and services, events in the area, points of interest.
Maintain high level of cleaning standards and organization.
Provide prompt and efficient service in a timely manner.
Previous experience preferred but not required.
All other tasks and duties as assigned.
